Primary Objective
The primary focus of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) includes:
- Creating a vibrant local innovation ecosystem: Fostering an environment in HEIs that promotes creativity and collaboration for innovative ideas.
- Supporting start-ups within HEIs: Establishing mechanisms to guide and mentor aspiring entrepreneurs, enabling them to develop successful start-ups.
- Preparing institutes for ARIIA: Helping institutions align with the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements framework.
- Establishing an ecosystem for idea scouting and pre-incubation: Providing structured support to identify and nurture early-stage ideas into workable solutions.
- Developing students' cognitive abilities: Enhancing problem-solving and creative thinking skills among students to thrive in an innovation-driven environment.
