About Us

The Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, has established the MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC) to foster a culture of innovation within Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the country.
The core mission of MIC is to inspire, motivate, and support young students by helping them explore and develop new ideas, ultimately transforming these ideas into viable prototypes during their formative academic years.
To achieve this goal, MIC has introduced the concept of Institution’s Innovation Councils (IICs) within selected HEIs.
These councils form a nationwide network aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship through various approaches, contributing to the creation of a dynamic innovation ecosystem on campuses.
MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC) has successfully established IICs in over 2,700 institutions across India, with the goal of nurturing creativity and fostering an environment conducive to innovation-driven growth in educational institutions.
